Chapter 41: The last of Green-eye Tribe
"What is wrong with them?" KiRA looked around the house, a palace that didn't look as exciting as it should be.
The entrance of the house was simple, however the inside of the house was more spacious than what it seemed from the outside.
The ground floor was dark and filled with all kinds of equipment, tools, and things that were dusty from not having been touched for a long time.
There was a section covered in white sheets that had become brown from dust. On the left of the room, there were shelves made from strong metallic frames.
Not all the tools like the hammers, the bellows, and the anvil and wrenches were placed on these good displays though. Some of them lay on the ground lifeless, as if to not have been touched by any craftsman in years.
The floor was also dusty, as if no one had walked on it for a long, long time.
There was no sign of a furnace or the fire, two elements that were always active in this room.
"Let's go up."
The Dwarves were very particular about hygiene. Even though they might seem all dirty and filthy most of the time, they would always keep their workplaces clean and spotless.
Just the presence of the dust was concerning for her, but the absence of the eternally blazing fire that should have been present here was the biggest concern for him right now.
-Krrrr...
