Chapter 370: Are You Pregnant?
Nicklaus’s heart skipped a beat when he stared into her eyes while he listened to her words. He reached for her cheeks and gently pinched it. She has very kissable cheeks which he loves.
"Nicklaus please speak to me," Arissa pleaded as anxiety covered the whole of her. She held both sides of his face and pressed their foreheads together.
She shut her eyes afterward, trying to withstand her overwhelming emotions, her hands trembled slowly and she tried to stop them, "Nicklaus, say something. Leaving me all alone in the dark doesn’t change anything. It doesn’t make any difference." she let out
Nicklaus hugged her gently from her waist and kissed the center of her head. He tenderly rubbed her lower midriff to calm her down.
Arissa sniffed and wrapped her hands around him, "Nicklaus," she called him slowly as she took her face off his chest and placed her chin on his chest.
Gazing up at him, her eyes pleaded with him and tears welled up in her eyes. Nicklaus smiled gently and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear.
He parted his lips slowly and with hesitation, "Love, I can’t," he refused and tears left Arissa’s eyes. He hated seeing her in tears but at this moment, he preferred for her to have a calm peace of mind over any other thing.
Her body trembled in his arm and she weakly pushed him off her. She smiled at him as if to convince him that she would be fine before walking out of the bathroom.
Nicklaus stood rooted to the spot. He stared at Arissa’s back as if he wanted to say something to her but thought better of it.
