Tears stood by the corner of Beatrice’s eyes when Arissa said that. She began to feel a void in her heart. A void only her daughter could fill up.
Ever since she recovered from the surgery, she has avoided asking Stephan questions about their daughter. More years have been added to her life and she decided to live in the moment together and happily with Stephen rather than spend her remaining days wallowing in the loss of her daughter.
However, that doesn’t mean she would stop searching for her daughter. Even with gray hairs, she would keep on searching for her daughter but this time with hope and faith.
She now believed in the God her husband prays to and she would follow that footsteps with faith.
Thinking about Laura, she realized that luck has always been an element of life in Laura’s life. Her friend got two kids and could still reproduce more. This one standing before her was an epitome of her beauty and she believes the other one would also break the scale of beauty.
It warms her heart each time she sees girls around her daughter’s age. It gives her a little hope that her daughter could also be out there and they’ll meet one day.
One more time, thoughts about her mother filled Arissa’s mind and she wondered how her mother should be served justice. She wondered if the woman was watching the news and what she could be doing right now after watching the news.
Just as Arissa’s mind was filled with that thought, there was a soft quiet knock on the door.
Arissa raised her brow and faced Mr. Wyatt. The man returned her questioning look and when the knock repeated itself, he ordered the person to come in.
