His Toxic Addiction

Chapter 270: Punish Her With It.

"You need to work on yourself," Jocelyn advised, parting the hug. "You look like a clown," she added jokingly, seeing Arissa’s all-red face.

Arissa chuckled softly, "I will, thank you for always listening to my rants," she appreciated.

Jocelyn’s eyes widened with gladness, "You aren’t ranting, Arissa. You are only complaining to a friend, to a sister and I am happy you have finally known how important it is to share a burden than thinking you can face it all alone," she said.

Arissa’s eyes turned watery again, "Yeah, I changed a lot," she pointed out.

Deep down, Arissa knew she owned all of her changes to Nicklaus. She can’t deny it and whether she likes it or not, take it or leave it, Nicklaus’s impact on her life was massive and she wants to feel more of those changes.

Her hand secretly went to her lower abdomen and began to rub on it. A soft smile graced her lips when she imagined hugging him when he came back from work with a heavy stomach.

Jocelyn’s lips curled up into a smile, "All the more reason why you should keep Nicklaus and not let him go away. I love the new Arissa better, the real Arissa that woke up after knowing Nicklaus," she said, "I love the new Arissa with a genuine smile and more raw emotions. I love the new Arissa who isn’t scared to cry in my arms and lastly, I love the new Arissa who finally admitted to loving someone who isn’t family," she listed.

Arissa’s lips raised into a pout, "Who isn’t family? Does this mean I haven’t told you I love you?"

A small laugh escaped Jocelyn’s lips, "Really? Did you even hear me well? I said someone who isn’t family. Wait, do you mean that after all the moments we shared you still take me as just a friend?" she questioned in between her laugh.
