Chapter 260: Chicken Soup.
The ladies paused their conversation when the ward door was pulled open. A small gasp which later blossomed into a smile escaped Jocelyn’s lips when she saw Arissa walking in.
Jocelyn was the first to walk toward Arissa, "Arissa." she called before pulling her into a tight smiling hug.
Arissa hugged her back with a heavy heart. "I missed you," she said in the hug and her eyes connected with her elder sister’s own.
Adele flashed Arissa a smile. She nodded at Arissa to walk over. Arissa pulled away from the hug and walked over to Adele.
"You forgot us," Adele inferred without her smile falling.
Arissa forced out a smile, "I’m sorry I did. It wasn’t intentional," she apologized, dropping the flask bag she came with.
Jocelyn walked over to them, "What do you mean by ’it wasn’t intentional,’? Don’t tell me you confessed your feelings and you both decided to go for a vacation," she giggled girlishly wishing her words to be true.
Arissa’s lips curled into a genuine smile, "You wish," her mood brightened a little as she imagined Jocelyn’s words coming to reality.
If only her father never happened, who knows, maybe Jocelyn’s words would have been the story of the day but sadly, her story was far from being this dreamy.
"I wish?" Jocelyn asked taking a seat on Adele’s bed, "Who the hell answers his wife’s phone saying she needs not to be disturbed?"
Arissa gulped. Masking her sadness, she smiled coyly and turned over to Adele, "How do you feel?" she asked her elder sister.
