Arissa combed Nicklaus’s hair with her fingers while he massaged her feet. They forgot the people in the ward with them and subconsciously displayed their affection with no care about the world.
"I think that’s enough," she told him after a short while.
The short massage relieved her so much although she never believed she was stressed when he said it. Nicklaus raised his face to her and lightly Arissa dropped a kiss on his forehead, just as he always does to her and then she blushed.
Nicklaus smiled at her, "That was cute," he said almost claiming her cute lips. His - let him use the word like. His like for her grows every day.
Breathe! Arissa commanded herself in her heart. Nicklaus’s actions left her breathless together with his words. She looked away from him and then her gaze instantly meet with Collins’s gaze.
"Nicklaus," she called him not taking her eyes off Collins. She was swept off by Nicklaus’s sweetness and forgot about the people in the room. Psh! So bad of her.
"I know," Nicklaus said. Standing straight, he turned to Collins with his expression back cold. Jocelyn almost sulked seeing this.
She gushed at their bond. How could a man be this sweet to his wife alone and be so indifferent and cold to others?
