His Toxic Addiction

Chapter 222: I Hope Am An Exception.

A knock resounded on the door, distracting the couple. Arissa could tell it was Jocelyn. That was how her friend sound whenever she knocks.

Since it was Jocelyn at the door, what would she do now? Her shirt was ripped, her eyes red with tears staining down her cheeks.

She immediately panicked.

Nicklaus’s eyes turned hard when he fixed them on the door. "Don’t come in," he snapped at whoever was knocking at the door.

Arissa frowned when he snapped at Jocelyn that way. "Nicklaus, let me go," she voiced out.

There was a knock at the door and rather than letting her off so she could arrange her appearance, he tightened the hug as if he had plans to glue them together.

Nicklaus fixed his eyes on her, "Arissa, please_"

"Nicklaus not now," she immediately cut him off from apologizing. She doesn’t want to hear him plead. He already apologized, she understands it was a mistake and also, she pushed him to this.

Reluctantly with a heavy heart, Nicklaus released her from his arm and sat up on the couch. The first thing Arissa did when seated was to clear her throat, dry her tears and destroy every trace of them on her face.

She arranged her clothes also and for her white shirt, she won’t be able to put it on anymore. The button holes were badly torn alongside the lost buttons.

She folded the shirt and threw it aside. She doesn’t want some questioning section from Jocelyn and how would she be able to explain what happened to the next person?
