Logan cursed at the storm as he drove to Laura’s base. He was infuriated to death trying to believe all he found out for himself today.
He should have known she was smart. He had always underestimated her. To him, she was a housewife only good in bed but right now, she was giving him every reason why he should take his thoughts back.
He had thought Alfred was the smartest ass in the game of business but that scumbag was a dumb idiot who only knows how to kill an upcoming business tycoon.
Logan could still remember how his family was killed before him. He could detail the next person about it as if it happened a minute ago. That was how deep the scar Alfred left on him was.
After surviving the from the claws of Alfred that day, he stayed far away and hidden while he watched the man carefully from afar.
When Alfred killed his family, he - Alfred - was also starting in the business world but he was very promising as his last name alone meant success and you could imagine the number of smaller companies that would want to partner with him.

Logan could still remember his father’s sweat and how the man strived and pushed himself roughly to produce a scratch hole as a company. It wasn’t easy but still, he consulted Alfred and signed a partnership with him which led to his death.
Day and night, his survival was a blessing whenever he remembers his father’s lifeless eyes staring directly at him and his sister’s screams from pure torture as Alfred’s men assaulted all holes in her over and over again as all ten of them took turns in her roughly while his parents laid dead on the floor.
Why didn’t he do anything? What could a ten years old bedridden kid possibly do? And that was why he waited before plotting revenge on Lincoln. He gave up a big sacrifice for all of these. He was just lucky to be under the staircase at that moment with a stucked wheelchair.
