Her heartbeat fastened. She was in Adele Hospital already, and though the place was highly and well secured, she could not help but fear for the life of her sisters.
What if this man before her was meant to distract her while her father people hijack Adele? It couldn’t be just a coincidence that she meet this man in the hospital when she still don’t know if he was her father’s foe or a friend. And the fact he acted all creepy rang signal bells in her head.
Her eyes met his eyes and when their gaze locked, she tried to figure him out but it was all complicated, which left her asking herself why would he approach her.
He looked like the all-casual player from college but she felt he was something more and his outfit and actions were all just facades he tried to put on.
Her brain worked fast. Remembering Adele and Jocelyn, she gave him a polite smile and tried to walk past him but unfortunately, he vastly blocked her path with a charming smile on his face.
Arissa’s brows frowned when she looked at the human wall before her and with a side glance, she notice a few of the people who knew her were taking secret photos of her and she could not help but curse.
"Step aside," she told him in a warning voice as her fists clenched from rage. Holy Lord alone knew what she would do to him if he wastes a second of her time.
Logan chuckled, "You_" he trailed off as he fastly caught hold of her fist about to assault his face, "Woah, woah, wasn’t that so fast?" he joked holding her delicate wrist softly but he knew the punch from that hand would be far from delicate because with how fast and sudden it came, even a trained gang leader like him would feel pain from her punch and immediately, his interest in her grew.
She was his exact type of woman. The fierce and strong ones attack with caution but don’t hold back, which was what she did right now. She was cautious of him but that did not stop her from throwing a fist at him.
