His Toxic Addiction

Chapter 151: Being Followed.

Wearing his black hoodie properly, Mr. Adams took slow shaky steps into the hidden grocery store. He felt eyes on him but he figured it was probably because of how he was dressed and again, whoever was trying to find him wouldn’t be able to know he was the one.

This Mr. Adams looked like a man walking out of his sixties. He did well to hide his appearance as he was an exact image of a plumpy advanced man - thanks to the body suit underneath his hoodie.

His sharp gaze scanned the store warily as he did his best to look as pathetic as he always had whenever coming to this store.

Getting all he needed for another three weeks, he went to the cashier’s desk. Each second was his life counting and he could not afford to act more sluggish than necessary.

Paying the cashier, his brow furrowed when he felt a heated gaze on him. Sharply turning the direction of the suspicious gaze, he saw no one there but a cat under the street light.

He shrugged his shoulders before turning back to the cashier girl who was all jovial to him though he have never said a word to her.

And that was why this neighborhood was his best escape where he could map out all of his plans. The people were all jovial while they minded their business.

In the eyes of most people particularly children, he was their old grandpa and they made sure to give him that respect and love, like now, a ten-year-old child ran towards him.

"Grandpa," the boy called with an auspicious giggle as he ran towards Mr. Adams, "Let me have your bag," the boy requested.
