Chapter 116: Weird Obsession.
Sarah fidgeted with her fingers as she waited for Logan’s arrival. Tucking a strand of her pink locks behind her ear, she tightened her heart.
Throwing Mr. Adams under the bus would be nothing serious whereas, she had lost all of her family and she would have nothing great in return from Mr Adams but from Logan, she would earn his trust and from his trust, she would earn his heart.
She doesn’t care what this organization would offer to her but seeing Logan every day would be worth it. She doesn’t know when this weird obsession started but staying two weeks with Logan made her see him in a different light.
He has a dark personality that scars people out but still, she wants to try him. If he could love Mr. Lincoln’s daughter that much to have her portrait on his bed as the first thing he sees when he wakes up, she’s sure she would have to just go extreme and he would come around to love her too.
"Sarah," Victor’s voice sneaked up behind her.
Sarah jolted off her thought before turning to the poor man behind her. Her eyes fell with the reality she was about to betray someone.
"Why do you ask me to meet you up here?" he asked her, his voice holding urgency.
Sarah’s eyes tightened as she listened to him. She had decided to betray them but if Logan doesn’t show up earlier, she’s sure about saving Victor if she has time left.
Since Logan was beginning to become annoying, she could as well ditch him and who was that annoying burette woman he went off to see? He had asked her to go ahead but kept her waiting due to another lady.
Her heart twisted with hatred with the imagination of what might be happening between Logan and the lady behind closed doors and the fact they are alone boiled her more.
