Chapter 99: Short comfortable silence.
Arissa tried to be indifferent about the kiss they just shared. She was extremely overwhelmed by what just happened tonight and laying on her bed, she looked up at her ceiling, recalling the moment.
She bit her lower lip to stop herself from smiling in happiness but that was fruitless because, in the next second, a speechless smile covered let lips.
The moment seemed very special to her and her heart rate was still quick with excitement and the butterflies in her stomach did not spare her one bit because they all erupted even with her strong wish to keep them intact.
Licking her lower lips, she ran her hand through her hair, "I can’t believe I feel this way for just a kiss, Arissa stop," she reprimanded herself when her smile got out of hand.
She let out an audible soft giggle before placing her hands on her stomach as she focused on her ceiling. Right now, she was akin to a teenager who just got her first kiss but she do not care because the feeling that came with the kiss was priceless and she don’t care to have more of it.
Parting her lips, she released another giggle that filled the whole of her inside. She could bet for the past few years, she had never been this happy and carefree.
Humming dreamily, she turned away from her ceiling and faced her sleeping cat. The way he looked at her back in the hallway inflated a huge spark in her heart and she felt like she would burst soon from this unknown and unreasonable happiness.
She could not stop smiling as she looked at the beautiful stars from where she was laying. Mindlessly, she shook her head to take the thoughts and feelings away.
"Urg_" she grunts with a smile when her phone suddenly started ringing from her vanity table.
Thinning her lips to subside her smile, she came down from the bed and proceeded to the vanity table to answer the call.
Dr. Collins was displayed on the caller ID. Organizing her emotions, she pressed the answer space, "Hey," she called, her voice quiet with enthusiasm.
