Chapter 7 Drums of War
'So I wanted to emulate Dr. Vegapunk my role model of the one piece scientific community. Built a robot that uses the principles of a strong devil fruit, create a peace keeping terminator army, destroy all opposition, (sips coffee) aaah for the greater good.'
'Robots uphold justice, justice creates peace, peace allows children to be safe. It's all for the children really, I have no selfish motivations whatsoever. Pity I cant replicate the effects of the baku baku no mi in the robots as yet, I would have an army that could devour an entire island if someone crossed me.....anything that is good for me helps in the greater good' thought Calvin to himself.
Calvin had set the dice rolling and set his plans into motion. He would be one of the greatest in the world, he was determined to b e counted among the greatest in the world. Right up there with Dracule Mihawk the Greatest swordsman in the world, Shanks the youngest Yonko of his time, Fisher Tiger the arsonist of Mariejois, Monkey D. Garp the Hero of the marines, Silvers Rayleigh the dark king and last but not least Gol D Roger the Pirate king.
What did these great men all have in common you ask? Not one of them ate a Devil fruit! Which is why he also did not plan to eat a devil fruit personally, he promised himself that if he ever found himself in the world of one piece he would take the path less walked.
Don't get me wrong devil fruits were a wonderous and amazing power system, in many ways they were great but he had always disliked the name(devil fruit). Also how you gonna live in a world over 90% ocean, and get instant killed by taking a dip in the sea! Like c'mon bruh!!!!
Add on the fact that devil fruits are basically parasites, some having their own bloody intelligence and will that influences your personality subconsciously! I think I will take my chances working around them without necessarily personally using one. On another note he would soon begin experiments on the viability of having robots eat devil fruits.
They were inanimate objects and weapons in their own right, they should be able to eat a devil fruit. Think about it they have programming that beats the intelligence of an animal any day, and so why not give an intelligent weapon a zoan to multiply the benefits!
Also there were plans of breaking the norm of every instance of a weapon eating a devil fruit being a Zoan! What could a robot with infinitely better mental calculating speed and reflexes do with the pika pika no mi of Kizaru ? Could you imagine what a satelite floating in space could do with the pika pika no mi ? Sniping your opponents from space like a God raining down punishment!!!! "Muahahahahahaha!!!!"
Bam! A kick behind the back had Calvin wake up from his day dreams of future experiments. The kick was from no other than Dr. Kureha who was behind him, with her super human strength it actually moved him. He nearly fell off the white walkie ( wooly hippos of drum Island) face first into the snow, he autocorrected his posture before sitting back down . Calvin, Kureha and a few of the soldiers were out on a hunting trip before setting sail. Kureha and Calvin were on the white walkie while the soldiers surrounded it on foot.
