Chapter 37 -: 37 King is a higher card than Queen
King's victory over Queen echoed through the ranks of the Beast Pirates, solidifying his dominance among Kaidou's All-Stars. The courtyard fell silent as King sheathed his sword, the intense heat dissipating as his fiery aura calmed. Queen lay on the ground, his mechanical body sparking and whirring in defeat, his pride wounded more than his flesh.
Without a word, King turned his back on the fallen cyborg, making his way back to Queen's lab. The crowd, still in awe of the battle they had just witnessed, parted to let him pass, whispers of his strength spreading like wildfire among the ranks.
Queen, battered and humiliated, struggled to his feet with the help of some of his subordinates. Despite his defeat, a twisted grin spread across his face.
"You got what you wanted," Queen grumbled. "Now tell me, what is this all about?"
King glanced at the cyborg, his expression unreadable. "You're going to help me create a virus—a virus capable of spreading the Lunarian bloodline like a venereal disease."
Queen's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "A virus that spreads through the bloodline? You're serious about this, aren't you?"
King's eyes burned with intensity. "Deadly serious. You're familiar with the bloodline factor yes. I want to take it a step further and have you engineer a virus that can rewrite the bloodline factor of the infected. It will forcefully converting them into Lunarians like myself."
Queen snorted, adjusting the wiring on his chest. "You're talking about turning people into walking, talking versions of yourself. That's... ambitious, to say the least. But why a virus? Why not just use old-fashioned breeding, or are you afraid women will run away after seeing your ugly mug?"
King's gaze turned sharp. "The Lunarians are on the brink of extinction. Natural reproduction is too slow, too uncertain. I need something faster, something that can spread through sperm or blood transfusion to turn others into Lunarians in a controllable way.
Starting with the virus transferring through sperm, like a sexually transmitted Infection if you will. The virus will rewrite the genetic information of the egg cells of the female into that of a Lunarian. That way a full blooded lunarian will be born, no matter the race of the mother."
