Chapter 95 - 92: Footsteps of Upheavel
Summer break is over, and today marks the start of the second semester of our second year. Looking at the three-year school life as a whole, we're about to reach the halfway point.
I tie my necktie and slip my arms through my sleeves. Checking my reflection in the mirror, I adjust my hair and make sure my appearance is presentable before heading out. On the way, I coincidentally run into Arisu, and we exchange greetings as we walk to school together.
"I'm glad to hear that Sakayanagi-san has returned as chairman."
"Yes. Father also wanted to thank you, Hikigaya-kun."
"Me? I didn't do anything."
"Did you really think I wouldn't notice? On the final day of the deserted island exam, you were the one who took down Acting Chairman Tsukishiro, weren't you?"
Arisu smirks confidently, as if she's pieced together what happened during the exam. She probably doesn't know the exact details, but she's made an educated guess.
"...So you figured it out. Well, I punched him in the face for you and Sakayanagi-san too."
"That's delightful to hear. Could it be that you took such a risky action for my sake and Father's?"
"Maybe partly."
"Fufu. You're not very honest, are you?"
