COTE : Is Talent Everything? (Rewrite)

Chapter 78 - 75: Early Game Strategy

Amasawa left and sat down on a fairly large rock. Ryuen didn't seem inclined to come close to me, instead keeping some distance and sitting on another rock positioned opposite me.

The total time it took to reach the designated area was about 40 minutes. Though we had over three hours before the next designated area would be announced, the tasks would soon be unlocked.

Then, at 10 a.m., when the tasks began, the locations, contents, and rewards of the tasks were simultaneously displayed on the map. Depending on this information, we would face the decision of whether to head for the next designated area or prioritize a task.

At a glance, I decided to ask Ryuen for his opinion first.

"What's the plan? There's a task nearby, but there's also one right here where we are."

Luckily, a task had appeared in E7. The displayed task was an "English Test"—one that required participation by two people from the same group. It was the perfect task for our two-person team. The scoring system awarded 5 points for 1st place, 3 for 2nd, and 1 for 3rd.

"Heh, what a stroke of luck."

Ryuen, who had been checking his tablet, also seemed to think this task was worth taking, as he stood up from the rock.

Once the tasks were announced, several teachers emerged from the surrounding forest. They were likely the staff overseeing the tasks. We used our wristwatches to participate in the task, and thanks to our quick decision, we were the first to arrive.

"Surprisingly, some groups are skipping the English test."

Though multiple groups were scattered around E7, quite a few were heading to other areas.
