Chapter 27: Ch 27 iceworld? more like torture chamber
Karl woke up with his eyes groggy and his shoulder and back were throbbing with intense pain. His mind was hazy, a cold sensation creeping up his bones.
He slowly sat up, rubbing his eyes, trying to make sense of his surroundings. Before the full realization of his current horrifying situation had settled into him.
He looked up only to find that he was inside a small, transparent prison made entirely of ice, its walls shimmering faintly.
His flesh was battered, his body aching, and he was having a hard time believing what had happened.
"That man..." he muttered, a hint of genuine fear in his eyes. He looked around at the thousands of D-rank ice golems, their glowing green eyes fixed on him, surrounding the perimeter of his icy cage.
Yes, he was trapped inside the very dungeon that had recently disappeared mysteriously from the face of the earth.
As to who told him that it was the same dungeon, well, it would be very obvious if you were in the same position as him.
The sheer number of golems, their familiar, dull grunts, and the biting cold that permeated the air, despite the ice prison, were unmistakable.
Even though he was an A-ranker, a formidable warrior in his own right, he was now utterly helpless.
His skill and mana were strangely suppressed completely somehow.
He was like a mere mortal, stripped of all his power, vulnerable and exposed.
