Chapter 19: What?!
Among the maids and servants, very few were mages like her and all were treated with respect.
However, only she was the exception.
Why?
Not only because she was Lukas’ maid, someone who had no prospects and was alienated in his own family, but also because they knew she cared for him.
Knowing she wouldn’t dare to do anything to them in fear of causing trouble for Lukas, they said anything and everything to her face.
She always silently endured it, but now since Lukas had undergone a second awakening—which she knew was a success without him telling her as he didn’t seem even a tiny bit upset after regaining consciousness in her lap—and was going to become a mage, she no longer bothered to endure any longer and lashed out, pouring out all her frustration.
Of course, the thought that Raymond might not accept him even after Lukas became a mage lingered in her mind, but she was willing to take this tiny bit of risk since it wouldn’t make much difference if the latter possibility really came to pass.
’I hope it doesn’t happen...’ She thought before shaking her head to clear her thoughts.
"Young Lord must have woken up. I should check up on him." She muttered and walked toward Lukas’ villa, a hint of nervousness flickering in the depths of her eyes.
Because of how insecure and withdrawn Lukas had been since he was 12, she had always treated him like a kid, but today she realized he was no longer a kid and had become a man. This was the cause of her nervousness.
’What if he also wants me now that his desires are awakening...?’
