Chapter 320: Family (1)
Xavier walked with his mother up to where Selene was waiting for them.
"Is there something you want to say to me, Xavier?" Josephine asked, assuming he was curious about what she had spoken with Nathaniel about.
"No. I already know that you two will be back together, and it doesn’t concern me. You won’t be able to resist each other. He’ll show up before you a few more times, and then I will hear that you are with him. It is fine," Xavier said.
Xavier had little to no interest in stopping Josephine from going back to Nathaniel once she was out of his home.
"You might be right. I am only a little tired of our marriage right now. We’ve been together for so long, and I never realised I could take a break to enjoy myself. It truly might be a curse to live so long. One of us would have died by now if we were human," Josephine said.
Josephine held onto Xavier’s arm as they walked. "I am going to be out of your hair in a moment. I have welcomed Selene to come visit me. You must help her find ways to enjoy herself with either social events or friends. It’s tiring to be in this family."
"It was tiring for you because your husband didn’t know when to cut his family off. Selene will be fine. I shall make sure of it," Xavier promised. "Still, thank you for the advice."
"I think I want another one of you," Josephine said, causing Xavier to step away from her.
"Please don’t."
