Chapter 316: Fixing past mistakes (1)
"That was an interesting meeting. Somehow, none of the extra votes I slipped in for you to be king were counted, but I am pleased with the outcome. Victor is not," Orlork said, enjoying the little outburst from Vivienne’s father.
Orlork looked around at the other unhappy families walking out of the room where they gathered. "They are only now starting to look for the princess. How didn’t her brother notice she was missing? Do you think she will return to the palace?"
"No," Xavier replied.
Morgana had found her forever home.
"Why are you following me?" Xavier asked, stopping so Orlork couldn’t follow him. "Selene and I will be very busy today, so we will not have time to entertain you. Don’t show up."
"I am only walking out with you. I have somewhere that I promised to take Jasper, and before that, I have to see your aunt. It is time for us to have a proper conversation. Must you act like you hate me? I was your beloved grandfather who helped you," said Orlork.
"I do not hate you. I hate that you show up at the wrong time. Selene and I will invite you over, so you do not need to show up unannounced. We are married, and with the town being quiet now, we want to enjoy ourselves," Xavier explained.
"I am a married man, so I know what you want. I didn’t think you would be busy at all hours of the day when I want to see you both," Orlork said, but he would keep his distance for a while.
Orlork was at the top of the Blackthorns, waiting for news of Xavier having a child. He needed to know if his lineage was getting stronger or if Xavier was just a rare case.
