Chapter 251: Gabriel’s mistake (1)
"Lord Blackthorn, there is a visitor at the gates requesting to speak with Lady Blackthorn, but I think you should go to the gates," said Harold.
Harold didn’t want to interfere, but he knew it wasn’t a good idea for Selene to speak to her former husband. No good would come of it, and after Selene’s good dinner with the Blackthorns, Harold didn’t want to ruin today for her.
Xavier was uninterested in speaking to a visitor. "Who is it? Is it Eugene again?"
"No, it is Gabriel Valor," Harold replied.
Xavier smiled.
What had he done to get such a good morning?
"Harold, if I go out there, I’m going to kill him. He was placed as the captain of the guards. Now his head has grown so big he thinks he can come to see my wife. Send him off," Xavier ordered Harold.
While Xavier wanted nothing more than to kill Gabriel, his death would reach Selene’s ears, which Xavier didn’t want her to be bothered with.
"The guards said that he seemed to be injured. I don’t think he came here as a guard but rather seeking out the lady for help," Harold said, hoping Xavier would reconsider.
Xavier sighed. He knew there would come a time when Gabriel would return to bother Selene.
It was only a matter of time before Gabriel would regret everything he had done up to now. Gabriel was the kind of fool to believe Selene would go crawling back to him.
