Chapter 129: A new friend (2)
"This is your help?" Selene asked, looking around the shop they entered.
"It is. I also wanted to bring you here because there are stones to stop anyone from eavesdropping. Now we may speak freely and you have your big scary guard here to stop anyone from coming inside," said Francesca.
Francesca felt relaxed now that they were away from all the prying eyes. "We can talk now. Oh, I own this. It is another hobby."
"You do," Selene said, looking at the shop differently. "You seem to have figured out what to do with your time. You must be busy between this and the art you like to collect."
"Not as busy as I would like to be. I have employed a few women to work here and the art is brought to my home. This shop makes for a good excuse to leave home and brings in money. I help make men weak before us," Francesca said, confident she could help Selene.
Francesca took Selene to where they could sit alone. "I understand it so there is nothing to be shy about. For as long as I have been with my husband and slept with him, the man still makes me nervous but that is good. It would be boring if they didn’t affect us."
"I assure you that I do not need any help with my husband but if I am ever searching for something to surprise him with, I know where to come," said Selene.
"Forgive me since I was getting ahead of myself here. We are not close yet so you are cautious of what you say to me. I promise you that I am not going to take back what you say to the queen. Hopefully, you will find me to be a trustworthy person," Francesca said, knowing Selene would trust her eventually.
"I have been out of the social events for some time now so I am trying to figure out everyone. There are people I remember from parties I attended but our relationships changed. As you might know, I left town and came back only for our home to fall," said Selene.
