Chapter 232 - 227: Whose Responsibility
Fang Pingying and Luo Zhiyong left the Police Station and when they returned to the shop, it was already dark.
Qiu Lian and Luo Honglan, upon learning that Fang Pingying and Juzi had gone to see the doctor in the afternoon, had been out looking for them several times since they hadn’t come back. They were worried that something might have befallen them and were planning to wait a bit longer before going to the hospital to look for them.
At the sight of Luo Zhiyong and Fang Pingying, and with Fang Pingying having some blood on her, looking somewhat disheveled, Luo Honglan cried out in alarm, "Sister-in-law, what happened? Why are you covered in this?"
Seeing this, Qiu Lian also quickly pulled Fang Pingying towards the house, while asking, "Yeah, what happened? Why is Camp Chief Luo here, too? Pingying, you just said this morning that he wouldn’t be coming this week."
"Something happened." After entering the house, Fang Pingying sighed, "Juzi miscarried."
Both Qiu Lian and Luo Honglan were startled, asking in unison, "What happened? Wasn’t everything still fine when she left today?"
Because it involved Bai Jing and Luo Zhiyong, Fang Pingying did not know how to explain. She just shook her head, "I’m tired, I’m going home first. We can go to the hospital to see Juzi together tomorrow."
Seeing that Fang Pingying was indeed not in the best state of mind, they didn’t press her further, nodding, "Okay, you guys should head back early. We’ll take care of the shop. I’ll wait for you tomorrow, and then we can visit Juzi at the hospital together."
Fang Pingying nodded and went home with Luo Zhiyong.
As soon as Fang Pingying got home, she was deeply saddened by the thought that Juzi’s child was gone because of her; she laid on the sofa, not wanting to speak at all.
Luo Zhiyong understood her feelings and didn’t bother her, just went into the kitchen to make some food.
Not in the mood to cook, Luo Zhiyong simply boiled some noodles.
