The next morning, as the sky began to brighten, Luo Zhiyong woke up and sat up, intending to get dressed and out of bed.
Fang Pingying was startled awake by him and asked in a low voice, "Is it daylight already?"
"Did I wake you?" Luo Zhiyong looked down at her with a concerned expression and said, "It’s almost light out. I was thinking of getting up early and going to see that woman from yesterday, need to meet with Zhiming first to see what’s really going on. If that woman had really kept him from coming home for so long, that would be illegal."
Fang Pingying nodded, "Alright, I’ll go with you. It’d be best to see if we could settle this privately with that woman, to avoid getting the Police Station involved. It would be a big hassle if we actually had to go there."
"Then let’s go together."
Knowing that, both got out of bed and started getting dressed.
The guesthouse wasn’t far from their shop; just a few minutes’ walk would get them there.
However, when they returned to the shop, Luo Zhiming, who was supposedly being detained, was now sitting in the bedroom of the shop.
He must have been frozen last night; now he was wrapped in a cotton quilt, sitting on Fang Xiu’s bed, while Fang Xiu herself sat with a grim face on the opposite bed that belonged to Hong Lan.
Hong Lan was in the kitchen preparing something for Luo Zhiming to eat. Seeing Fang Pingying and the other return, she immediately called out with a surprised and delighted face, "Sister-in-law, you’re back just in time. I was just saying I’d go to the guesthouse to tell you that Second Brother is back."
