"Opening tomorrow? That’s so soon?" Luo Zhiyong was somewhat surprised, thinking that setting up a shop would take at least ten days to half a month.

Fang Pingying nodded. "Yeah, actually it’s just renting a shop to sell things, which is pretty much the same as what we did in town before. It’s just more convenient to have a shop, so there’s no need to fuss over a grand opening. We didn’t do much to the interior; Uncle Zeng just set up a few shelves to display the goods."

"I’m thinking that we have a limited variety of products now. Even with Hong Lan and me, plus adding Xiu’er, the three of us can’t make much in one day. We might as well keep it like it was at home, open in the morning, sell a set amount each day. If business picks up later on, and we really want to expand, we can then give the shop a proper makeover."

"That’s fine, it won’t be too exhausting like before." Luo Zhiyong felt this was better, as it would not wear out Fang Pingying too much.

"Let’s just go with it for now and see how well the pastries sell in the city. We can make new plans next year."

Luo Zhiyong nodded in agreement, then remembered Luo Zhiming and his wife, and asked, "By the way, haven’t those two been causing you any trouble these past couple of days in the city?"

"No, didn’t I just say? Zhiming came home with me to go to work." Speaking of the bus ride, Fang Pingying remembered Bai Jing and turned to Luo Zhiyong, "Oh, right, I ran into Bai Jing on the bus."

Luo Zhiyong’s expression didn’t change much; he just responded faintly, "No wonder, I just saw you two come back together."

"What do you think of Bai Jing?" Fang Pingying couldn’t deny the trace of probing in her question, due to the incidents with Xu He in her past life making her overly cautious.

But Luo Zhiyong didn’t seem to care at all. He thought briefly and answered casually, "She’s okay, I guess. I don’t interact with her much usually, just occasionally having a meal together with both of them. She seems alright, quite easy to get along with."

Fang Pingying gave Luo Zhiyong a look, thinking that men could never really tell who was truly easy to get along with and who was just pretending. She guessed that no woman in the whole compound would find Bai Jing easy to get along with, but he just couldn’t see it.

But it’s also possible that Bai Jing was different towards him, and men usually wouldn’t discuss these matters privately, leading to his misunderstanding.
