Chapter 105 - 100: Venting Anger
Zhou Yun Mei couldn’t help feeling better at the thought of Luo Zhiming and Fang Xiu giving her a grandson.
She put some effort into the lunch, stir-fried dried tofu with meat, pan-fried stuffed green peppers, and even took out a strip of cured meat that was given to her during the Mid-Autumn Festival, cutting a small piece to fry with some dried radish from her own jar.
Such a meal was indeed very sumptuous.
After Zhou Yun Mei finished cooking, Luo Hong Lan bounced off toward the courtyard, saying, "Mom, I’m going to call sister-in-law and the others for dinner."
"Wait a minute." Zhou Yun Mei frowned and immediately stopped her, "Don’t call your sister-in-law. If she doesn’t want to cook, she shouldn’t eat what I make either."
Luo Hong Lan was displeased, looking at Zhou Yun Mei and said, "Mom, what are you talking about? How can you refuse to feed sister-in-law?"
"I haven’t refused to feed her. The food is in the pot, and all the dishes are on the table. I didn’t say she couldn’t eat when it’s time for meals. But if she stays in her room and doesn’t come out by mealtime, acting like some kind of Madame, expecting others to call her, then fine, eat or don’t eat." Zhou Yun Mei went on a long tirade, gnashing her teeth in her heart about Fang Ping Ying not cooking today.
However, Fang Ping Ying had actually gotten up by the time Zhou Yun Mei said this and was standing at the doorway to the kitchen.
She smiled faintly and walked right into the room, continuing Zhou Yun Mei’s point, "Hong Lan, according to Mom’s words, you just need to call Dad to come back for dinner, no need to call anyone else. They haven’t done a single thing for the family, and they don’t come out when it’s time to eat."
Hong Lan looked at Fang Ping Ying, then back at Zhou Yun Mei, not sure whether she should call everyone or not.
