"Holy smokes, for real? Zhou Bin's face got painted without anyone noticing?" "For sure, you heard his screams too, right? Hilarious, the whole building must've heard it. No idea which supernatural fellow did it, or how it was done."
"I heard someone took advantage of his nap at noon and used those pens that delay in showing color. It felt so awesome... Hey, wasn't President Yan in that classroom?"
The noise in the hallway after the exam was unending, with math being the last exam of the spring term. The atmosphere was already like a spring compressed to its limit ready to release its energy, and now the hilarity of Zhou Bin getting his face painted added joy throughout the building.
However, Yan Huan, who had witnessed everything, quietly slipped away with his bag just as the test ended. Close to the end of school, he casually found an empty classroom on the higher floors that no one usually visited and snuck in.
"Click."
He turned to close the door, shutting out the noise from below, and casually tossed his bag onto the chair behind him before sitting down.
Taking a deep breath, he looked around the empty classroom and tentatively spoke out,
"That voice speaking in my head just now... are you there? Whether you're a system or some kind of Golden Finger, isn't it about time you explain the situation to me?"
"Meow~"
As if responding, an ethereal meow suddenly echoed in the empty classroom.
