Cassandra had not been informed. Everyone knew that a single piece of news would cause the entire war centre to collapse. Cassandra would be angry with everyone for this reason alone, but it had to be done.
After all, Cassandra wasn’t just overseeing one or two fronts. The Sage of Life was the one who informed everyone about every front in the world, whether each barrier was being defended, how many demons were at the obstacles, where each army should advance, and at what speed... in short, Cassandra’s job was already enormous.
Juliet, on the other hand, was protecting the barrier of Shorekeeper City.
Cassandra leaving her position would be like the beginning of an apocalyptic scenario.
For Atlas, however, everything was completely different.
His mind and body were still fighting against the poison itself. He was aware of the people outside trying to help him.
Every second, he heard Aveline and his sister Eva calling out to him, but he couldn’t understand where their voices were coming from.
Everything continued to darken with every passing second. Every punch he threw hurt him, but he managed to fight back against the poison.
It was just as his copy had said. Atlas must be in a crucial location because the poison was targeting him directly.
Perhaps it was protecting his heart, or perhaps his brain. Whatever it was protecting, Atlas knew that once the poison reached him, everything would end.
