Chapter 166: Singular Moments (1)
When the memory began to change again, the Sages found it difficult to even breathe.
Memories came one by one, and the responsibilities that Atlas had willingly taken upon himself became even more apparent.
Hundreds of thousands of people had fought in wars. Millions of lives had been lost at Atlas’s hands. Every demon and angel he had killed with his own hands. The moments when he fought alongside Cosmo against Mommon and Asmodeus, and much more, had been witnessed by everyone who watched the memories.
When the memories came to an end, something unexpected happened...
The image the Sages saw was beyond comprehension. They had encountered monsters they did not know. Monsters with eyes as black as pitch, monsters that put even Cordelia herself under tremendous pressure.
The worst part was that there was something else they saw.
They could see Atlas in the air, chained by all four limbs. The blood flowing from his body was falling all around the monsters on the ground, and the situation looked like it was seriously close to death.
Of course, this was not really Atlas, but rather an illusion created by Chaos.
The Sages were about to lose their minds. Even Cordelia, after all those memories, had to force herself not to burst into tears, wondering how her only student could continue to live after so much stress, pressure, and responsibility.
