Chapter 134: Old Friends
When Atlas took the Coat of Arms of the Ducal House out of his inventory, those who saw it could tell he was a true noble.
The fact that no nobleman ever came to such a place made Atlas a little more trustworthy.
Atlas had designed the coat of arms of the Ducal House specially.
When he started closed training, he would stop when bored and design this coat of arms.
It would be fair to say that it took almost three months to design the coat of arms. The coat of arms had to be something that could reflect Atlas’ values in an organised way, and that was the only reason it took so long.
Atlas had thought about it for a long time while he was in closed training. He had thought many times about his feelings in his previous life, about all of his friendships, and even about the young girl his age who had once been the love of his life and was now standing in front of him.
Yet the memories of his current life began to overwhelm him.
He realised that he could not go back to the past, to his previous life, and that there was no need for him to do so. That’s why he had spent so much time designing this coat of arms...this symbol to be hung on the flags that his descendants would use in the future.
To put it bluntly, he wished to take an example from the life of Cassandra, the Ancient Woman he had begun to have feelings for.
He had thought many times about what symbolises life in this world. He kept wondering how he could incorporate Cassandra, who symbolised life, into his own life, and only one answer came to his mind:
The bird represents the south and summer. The bird in the flames. The symbol of life, the flames that symbolise life, is that sublime being that lives in itself, in its soul...In other words, the Vermillion Bird.
