Chapter 88: Ares’ Help
It was like he didn’t know who to choose between the two.
On the one hand, there was a god he could choose. There was Ares, the god of war, and on the other side there was Odysseus, the greatest hero of all time and perhaps the man with the most painful story.
These thoughts flashed through his mind one after the other, but Atlas still thought it would be better to choose a god. Odysseus was a person he wanted to meet, but what he was going to do was to choose the one who could make him even more powerful.
When he started to look at the system window in the Hero Connecting ability in detail, he managed to find Ares’ name directly, and then, confirming his own decision, he woke up in an unknown place with a fainting again.
As far as he could see, there were vines full of vines around him and a path along which the vines were moving.
When Atlas stood up and followed the path, he saw a red-haired man sitting on a throne with a muscular body, a jet-black shredded armour and a sword in his hand.
The man’s face was full of scars, but this did not seem to go against his stature. This person was, of course, Ares himself.
"I realise what you came here for, but I don’t know if you’re good enough for it," Ares said suddenly.
While Atlas was trying to understand what was going on, Ares suddenly appeared in front of him and then asked, "Tell me, why are you swinging your sword?"
Atlas was neither surprised nor expectant when he heard this question, he answered directly, "For my family."
Even though Ares seemed surprised to get an answer in a second, he did not forget to say, "You only have your sister as your family."
