Chapter 73: Towards the Ballroom
During these two days, various speeches were made in multiple places, and slowly, the steps were taken for Atlas to gain nobility.
Atlas did not belong to one of the noble families, and he was not one of the young people who could become the head of these noble families. This caused him to fall within the age limit.
After the age of 15, an individual was considered a mature individual and could only marry, leave their family, and enter the main knightly ranks if they so desired. In general, the age limit started at this age.
This was different for the nobility, however. This was because many nobles tried to marry at an early age. If a person was a noble, such a system was used so that he could not be married in any way before the age of 18.
There were different reasons for this, of course. One of them was to prevent another noble from inviting other noble houses to him, to be legally allowed to plunder other houses through marriage, and so on.
In Atlas’s case, it was unprecedented in the history of the world to give the rank of ’duke’ to a 15-year-old boy with very interesting talents and extraordinary contributions at such a young age.
Instead, it was decided to give one of the ranks that other nobles under the age of 18 receive when they become the head of their families.
"Lord Atlas."
Under someone’s watch, he would have this title till eighteen years old.
