Antihero In the Hero Academy: I Can Connect the Past Heroes

Chapter 36: Devil Worshipper (3)

The mana shield itself seemed to be going into shock. It was constantly moving and constantly freezing and burning. It was like the effect of a hand held to a heater after playing with snow for a long time, but this effect could be seen with the naked eye.

Still, Atlas hadn’t won yet, Amber had finally finished preparing her spell, and the encounter that would decide the outcome of the duel was just beginning to unfold.

Suddenly, Atlas’s body trembled. With a sudden movement, his eyes turned towards the sky and he saw that the thunderclouds had gathered.

Atlas’s plan had succeeded. The plan was completed with considerable success. Now he could try to bait her out fully.

The spell Amber had cast could be cast by a mage with at least seven magic rings. This was enough to prove that Atlas was indeed right in his thoughts.

He had thought that the woman in front of him was either skilful and clever enough to hide her own power, or that she was really weak. He had tried to pace his plan accordingly.

Still, Amber was a low-level demon worshipper, there was no doubt about that. The others were certainly not as stupid as this woman.

When Professor Percy saw what was happening, he rushed forward to take action, but suddenly Cordelia’s voice echoed in his head and he stopped dead in his tracks:

"Don’t bother, he’s strong enough to defend himself, move once the attack is over, let’s see what else the young man can do."

Cordelia and the other professors, including Percy, had all realised that Amber was a devil worshipper. There could be no other explanation. In such a prestigious academy, no maniac would actually go and try to hide his power.

This academy was a place where the strong were surrounded by the powerful and kept moving forward.
