Chapter 1: Going Back
The end of empires, technology, and even modern life had come. Only a few years earlier, the Globe Hero Academy had trained wizards, aura users, and superior warriors, but now it had become a gateway for demons and angels to enter the world.
It was a shame.
The human race, which had always oppressed others and taken racism to the extreme, had officially surrendered the world as a battlefield to demons and angels in exchange for comfort.
Of course, not every human was a racist against other races. Many had fought alongside them in the war between heaven and hell, striving to protect them.
He had seen it all. The corruption, the worshippers of evil, and the demons lurking within the so-called best hero academy in the world. He had studied every one of them.
For six years, he had served in the heart of the war, his body covered in scars. His eyes had gone blind from pain, his sense of touch dulled by constant wounds.
Even the most powerful gods and goddesses had blessed him, yet he had failed to save everyone despite it all. He had once been among the weakest students but became the strongest hero.
Despite everything, he died.
His death was not at the hands of the other races, nor the soldiers of heaven or hell. It was humanity itself that had betrayed him.
He couldn't have been more foolish.
Yet, before he died, he looked up at the blood-red sky, at the stars still visible in the distance, and made an oath to the gods and goddesses watching him.
