Rebirth: Revenge of the abandoned heirress

Chapter 119: A little kitten

The next second, the lights were back. Jazmine Harrison blinked, too stunned to look anywhere when a pair of arms reached out and pulled her back.

"You are too daring. When a woman senses someone in her home this late at night, the first thing she should do is run for help."

In his arms, Jazmine looked up and smiled. "If I had run, your plan would’ve been ruined."

"What plan?" Sebastian Crowne acted innocent.

Jazmine pointed into the bedroom. "What are you hiding? I know there’s someone else in the room." He had purposely obscured her vision by pulling her back when the lights came on—and it must’ve been him who turned them off in the first place.

Sebastian sighed. "Why is it so difficult to hide something from you?"

"There is someone!" Jazmine hadn’t been sure at first. "Thanks for confirming!"

Sebastian: "..."

Jazmine ran into the bedroom, then paused. Inside the room, there was no one. "Why is there no one?" she asked as Sebastian walked into the room behind her, looking around with a puzzled expression.

Her eyes fell onto a shaking, packaged box on her bed. The noise was coming from within it. Without waiting for Sebastian, she climbed onto the bed and opened the roughly packed box. He stood beside the bed, watching her eagerly open the box like a kid on Christmas morning.

"Easy. You do not want to provoke her. She’s not very nice if provoked," he warned.
