Chapter 99: You can take advantage of me
...Realizing that she would be cornered eventually, Jazmine Harrison smiled at him and put forward the files before he could make a move. "Here, President Crowne, I think we should sit down and discuss the preposition I brought." Her smile was calm and very professional. She wouldn’t lose her cool in front of him.
Sebastian Crowne stopped, inches away from her. His smile never left as he grabbed the files, carelessly flipped through the pages. He glanced at her. "Follow me."
Jazmine Harrison followed him to the seat in front of the desk. She pushed the events of the last night out of her mind. Instead, in her mind, she recited the careful words she had planned for the preposition. Even though they were on good terms, the business involved the welfare of the whole company. Jazmine understood that he couldn’t accept her proposal just because of personal relationships.
Keeping that in mind, Jazmine opened her mouth. "President Crowne, as we know your company has been—" She was halted midway when she saw him picking up a pen. While still standing, he threw the files on the table and guided the pen to the papers.
"What are you doing?"
"Signing." Sebastian looked at her as if she was the one who was not acting normally. "Isn’t it where I must sign? Or somewhere else?" He flipped through some pages. "Oh, there is another place here." He swiftly signed in his beautiful writing.
Jazmine: "..."
"Shouldn’t you, um, perhaps first read the documents?" That was only proper. "And after then, following the normal procedure, we should negotiate the terms?" Jazmine felt weird. Watching him sign away at all the places without even blinking. This was surreal. To expect something like that from the great ’Devil’ was an impossibility.
"Waste of time." He replied overtly.
