Chapter 57: I’ll be waiting for you Jazmine
Amelia looked at the time. It was already 9 pm. Her manager had started calling her. She was supposed to be at the airport by 8:30 pm. After much contemplation, she had to block him. She couldn't afford to attend his call. Her Jazmine had warned her a lot that her grandfather was a very suspicious man.
Damn you, Jazmine! Where are you? You promised to come back before 8 pm. I'm never going to trust your words again!
Amelia had already sent Jazmine Harrison more than twenty messages, half of them consisted of exquisite curses, but there was no reply from her side. Jazmine had decided to send another text when she heard the sound of footsteps coming from outside. She quickly put down her phone and pretended to be asleep.
Dominic Tang opened the door to his granddaughter's room and glanced around. He was a little surprised to find that Jazmine Harrison was still here. His granddaughter was being very obedient, and it unsettled him for some reason.
"Jazmine, wake up! It's time to take your medicine."
She gave no response. Must be asleep soundly.
"Jazmine?"
When he walked closer to the bed intending to wake her up, he heard a muffled cough.
"Grandfather, I've taken the medicine. I'm feeling tired after taking it. So let me sleep."
"What happened to your voice?" Her voice was strangely squeaky.
"My throat; it hurts. Side effects from the medicine. Nothing to worry about." Amelia coughed some more to make her excuse seem realistic.
