Chapter 44: Showing her the place
"You..."
Before Caroline could say anything, Jazmine took the initiative.
"Sister Caroline, you are so careless." It gave the impression that Caroline had accidentally dropped the purse.
"Do you think you can do anything and get away with it? You are nothing. You are nothing without my cousin." Caroline wanted to incite her, to anger her. But to her grief, her words were totally harmless to Jazmine.
Jazmine knew how to deal with people like her. The key was to never get angered by their words. So she only smiled at her and said in a low voice,
"You are wrong, Sister Caroline. I'm the President of the Tang Enterprise. And I don't need David Anderson or someone else to make me something. And listen carefully, I will only say it once. You might have thought that I'm the same Jazmine Harrison you could easily insult in the past. But I'm not. I won't dig into the past, but in the future, if you test my patience or if you try to do something against Amelia, I know how to counter."
Caroline was stunned for a second. It was her company that had leaked those fake scandals about Amelia and tainted her good reputation. But did Jazmine know that? If yes, then how?
And wasn't Jazmine a cowardly girl before? She would start crying once confronted. She would never be spiteful towards Caroline, no matter how much Caroline insulted her. Then why was there this unexpected change now?
"Are you threatening me?" Caroline stepped closer and sneered at her. "My cousin won't be happy once he learns what you said to me. Neither would he be happy once he learns you go on dates with other men."
