Azrael went back inside the cinema. As he walked into the hallway, the few civilians leaning on the wall and tapping on their phones like normal people weren’t good at hiding their intentions at all.
The dominant alpha could easily tell that they were watching him and his family. He pretended like he saw nothing, acted like he didn’t know anything of his father’s movements, and let his men follow them.
A way to split his manpower, and distracts his attention from finding out their real agenda.
It was because Luis reached a dead end in his research, that they had to resort to a dangerous plan of trapping the mouse by slipping a piece of cheese into its own den.
They found traces of someone erasing his father’s illegal activities, and everyone who was involved with his father who wanted to turn a new leaf, disappeared.
It was as if someone was cleaning Rage’s muddy, bloody tracks. The shreds of evidence they gathered could at least put him behind bars already, but it could only result in a few years of sentence. Some crimes are even bailable, so with money and connection, his father could easily evade the prison cells.
Luis deliberately let their enemies know that they hold an important piece of information that could indict them with a heavier sentence, so they would go and resort to abducting him. While the loyal dogs of the Montgomery’s siblings were watching his back.
Everything fell according to plan.
Luis was brought into a secluded place, and Kayden’s men discovered a new person entering the picture, acting like the mastermind. Yet, aside from the personal background of the ex-convict, they couldn’t find any relation with Rage at all.
