Chapter 95: Rescue operation
Shawn looked at Athan and Kayden with wonder. They both looked as though they almost peed their pants. He pondered and, soon, he realized their actions. His forehead broke into a sweat and he gulped.
Athan looked at Shawn who returned his gaze with understanding. He sighed and put his hands down. He turned to Kayla and answered her question calmly, "I just don’t think Knox will like it if his relationship with this guy is revealed to anyone."
Shawn scratched his head and quietly muttered, "I was just asking if he was K-Knox’s boyfriend...sorry, Sir Athan, I didn’t mean to probe."
"That’s fine," Athan glanced at Kayden. "It seems everyone here knew it already."
Kayla spoke, "Well, it’s obvious. My cousin is losing his head over your younger brother after all."
Kayden cleared his throat and brought up the plan again. He looked at Azrael who was staring at Shawn suspiciously. He elbowed the guy on the arm and asked Shawn with a nervous smile, "Can you show us the footage?"
Shawn replied without looking at Kayden, "Sadly, someone deleted all the footage at the time Knox was kidnapped. I’m trying to retrieve it but it’ll take time. However, not all of the CCTV footages in the building are deleted. We managed to sort out all the recorded videos."
Shawn turned his laptop around to Azrael and Kayden, "The kidnappers were really informed. They knew all the blind spots in the building and made sure their faces weren’t caught. These are all the photos caught in the camera."
Kayla narrowed her eyes at the image of two men walking out of the fire exit of the building. Azrael leaned and zoomed in on the image of one guy wearing a jacket and mask walking behind the other guy who was carrying Knox.
