Chapter 93: It’s you!
Kayden put his phone back after the call ended. Athan cut off the call so he had to ask Shawn for the alpha’s number to call him again. Thankfully, Athan still answered him and they talked. "Athan is requesting our service, sister. He wants the best personnel to track Knox down. Someone will come here to help with the tracking, so let’s wait until then—
"I’m leaving," Azrael stood, snatching his yet untreated hand from Kayla. "Waiting here won’t do anything."
Kayla tugged on the bloody bandage and glowered at her cousin, "What can you do? Rush in your father’s home and demand him to bring this Knox back to you? Do you think he’ll obey you just like that?! Think, Azrael! If your father kidnapped this person, then it means he probably knows how this guy was so important to you you’d barge into the lion’s lair without thinking!"
Kayla huffed and continued, "He kidnapped your important person not to turn you into a madman, but to put a leash on you! So, do you think he’d carelessly harm or kill this guy? Calm down and think rationally. What your father will ask of you wait for it. If that’s really what he intends to do, then he’ll seek you himself. Right now, what you need to do is plan ahead. And get back here, your hand needs a f*cking treatment."
"She’s right, Azi," Kayden agreed. He sat on the seat across from them and gave Azrael a serious look. "You won’t be able to find Knox just by facing your father this instant. You’re only going to prove to him how important Knox is to you, giving him more advantage in this matter. I know you’re worried, but Knox isn’t just your typical omega, is he? He was taken by surprise, but I’m sure he’s holding off against his kidnappers."
"HIS PHEROMONES ARE UNSTABLE! YOU’RE HIS DOCTOR, SO YOU MUST KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF HIS SCENT LEAKS! WHAT IF THOSE BASTARDS ARE ALPHA? WHAT IF THEY TOUCH HIM WHEN HE’S IN PAIN?! HE HYPERVENTILATES WHEN SOMEONE ALPHA BASTARD TRIES TO TOUCH HIM! HOW—
"KNOX ARDEN IS BONDED!" Kayden shouted back. He even stood out of desperation to calm his cousin. Azrael’s pheromones were becoming dangerous, and although there were only alphas inside that room, soon it won’t be.
Azrael was stunned upon hearing those words. So was Kayla. From Azrael’s shocked face, Kayla deduced that he wasn’t aware as well. So, she couldn’t help but think why would her cousin involve himself, let alone fall in love, to an omega who was already bonded?
Silence reigned in the room.
