But before Knox could step away, firm hands wrapped around his wrist and stopped him. He looked back, baffled.
Azrael wasn’t looking at him but to his fiancée instead. Diva pointed at herself, dumbfoundedly. Azrael grimaced, "Yes. Get out. You’re imposing on me too much."
"I’m here because of the reporters in my house and it’s your fault!" Diva protested. However, her finger pointed to Azrael was snatched and she got dragged to the entrance door, "What the hell, Azi! Why do you keep dragging me everywhere?! Damn you, I’m wearing a robe! At least, let me get dressed!"
The two kept bickering at each other while Knox stood there uncertain what to do next.
"Then, go ahead and get dressed, and leave!" Azrael shouted. He grabbed Knox and dragged him upstairs. Knox struggled at first, but as he looked down from the stairs and met Diva’s disgruntled face, he stopped.
Knox hadn’t explored the rooms on the second floor yet, so he didn’t know where Azrael would bring him. They entered the closest door to the stairs, and it was a home theater. Once the door was closed, Knox pulled his hand from the alpha.
Knox stayed by the door, and broke the silence, "You don’t have to bring me here. I should just leave. It’s not right for me to be here when your fiancée was downstairs and—
"Haven’t I made it clear to you?" Azrael closed the gap between them. Knox had no choice but to step backward, his back hitting the door. He expected the alpha to push forward once more, but Azrael stayed on his feet, a step away from Knox. "Would I drag her out of my place if I’m ever concerned about that woman? You’re supposed to be a clever one, aren’t you? You graduated from one of the prestigious schools abroad, so why can’t you figure it out faster?"
