Chapter 14: Apology
"Did he say anything?"
Azrael scanned the mess in his room. He had to clean it by himself if he wanted to keep that frail servant of his, as the room was filled with his pheromones. He picked up the crumpled tissues and scattered used condoms on the floor with one hand, while the other was holding the phone against his ears.
The secretary answered, "Other than he wanted to quit, he didn't give me a reason or say anything, sir."
He stomped on the lever and the trash bin's lid opened, then he dumped all the garbage he picked, "I see."
"Did something happen, sir?"
Azrael pinched the bridge of his nose, "...no."
After he turned off the call with his secretary, he dialed the number of his servant, yet his call wasn't going through. He furrowed his brows and tried again. However, he called many times, yet the phone on the other side would only ring once and get cut off.
Azrael glared at the screen where the name 'Unattractive Servant' was flashing in and muttered, "Did he f*cking block me?"
His phone almost cracked from how tightly he gripped it.
Azrael inhaled to clear his anger, but his brows only twitched in irritation after smelling the scent of the female alpha he slept with last night. He stomped off to the glass door after hurling the phone on his bed. Then, he grabbed the curtains aggressively and the metal above shook.
The bright light of the midday sun passed through the closed transparent door. Azrael covered his eyes with his hand, then, he yanked open the door and let the morning breeze come into the room.
