Chapter 7: Contract [1]
Knox stood by the entrance of an apartment unit where he once delivered food. His hands clenched on his side as he closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. The forest scent lingered inside the whole house, giving him a headache.
He sighed and braved himself for what was to come. He needed to make up his mind. His life would be over if he got caught with those sharks and had nothing to give. They will bite everything he has and feed him to wolves.
So, when Dr. Kayden explained everything to him, along with Azrael's secretary, who brought the contract, Knox didn't hesitate to sign after seeing the salary he would receive.
The contract stated that: one, everything about the employer's information and conditions is strictly confidential; two, the employee is to attend to every need of the employer, including but not limited to giving relief during ruts or sexually related interactions; three, the employee will have to move into the employer's residence; and four, any breach of contract will result into contract termination and the employee will be subjected into charges. The patient will receive a whopping amount of xxx as a monthly salary.
The second clause was etched in his mind. But thinking practically, he'd also end up in someone's bed if he refused that opportunity. At least, if he's living with his employer in that expensive apartment complex, he won't have to worry about returning home thinking he's being followed.
At least, the security in that place is strict.
Thump. Thump.
Knox shuddered when the sound of footsteps came closer. He had already signed a contract and received his advance payment; there was no way of escaping now.
"What are you still doing there? Are you waiting for the next year? Do you want me to carry you instead?" Azrael sarcastically asked, giving Knox an indifferent look. He whirled around and added commandingly, "Follow me. Hurry."
