Beast-Tamer: Limitless Evolution

Chapter 190 - 190: Osho Vs Ahmed II

Osho Vs Ahmed II

Ahmed immediately retreated.

The action kicked up a cloud of dust, but Osho didn't bother chasing after him as he simply flicked the blood off his sword.

Ahmed stared at Osho with narrowed eyes before glancing at his arm.

The nanites of his armor had already covered the wound to stem the bleeding, but the stinging pain he felt made it clear that he had indeed been hurt.

'What is that technique he's using?' He thought with a slight frown.

Techniques weren't anything new. In fact, before humans discovered they could tame beasts, they mostly relied on techniques that worked in tandem with Mana to battle their foes.

Even now, techniques were still widely popular due to the ever-present possibility of needing to fight against a beast when your beast wasn't available. That or you fight against other humans.

Techniques weren't easy to get access to, though, and the stronger ones usually went for an astronomical price along with more than a few favors to acquire just to get one.

'That technique just now... If he wanted to, he could have sliced my arm clean off, but he intentionally didn't.' Ahmed's frown deepened. The realization that someone two ranks beneath him was holding back did not sit well with him, but now that he had an idea about what Osho could do, rushing in seemed foolish.

Seeing this, Osho tilted his head and taunted.

"What's wrong? I thought you said I'd bitten off more than I could chew. Why the sudden hesitation?" Hearing his obvious taunt, Ahmed's brow twitched as he snorted.

"Don't push your luck. I'm only getting started," He straightened and smashed his fists together. "You're gonna regret not heavily injuring me when you had the chance, because you won't get another one." Ahmed's aura flared, and the air around him suddenly became superheated.

The vegetation at his feet started to combust, and despite the film of Mana covering his body, Osho felt like someone had thrown him into a furnace.

'7 minutes.'

7 minutes.

That's how long he had before the heat became too much for him, and he'd either pass out or worse.

7 minutes didn't seem like a lot of time considering that the two of them had been largely in a stalemate since the fight started, so defeating him within such a short time seemed like a daunting task.

And yet, he wasn't perturbed.

Up until now, he'd only used his magic in two ways. Protecting his body from the heat and using his techniques.

He hadn't actually used any proper magic since the fight started.

He took a breath, and his Mana moved.

On both sides of his feet, hands, and back, two small wings made of wind appeared, and Osho leaned forward as his muscles tensed.

The tendons within his body were compressed to their absolute limit. Moreover, he used Mana to compress them even more, to the point where it was humanly impossible to constrict one's tendons like that, but Osho did it anyway.

Quite a distance away, Ellie and the others could be seen watching with bated breaths, and Kurt's eyes suddenly widened as he put a finger to his ear.

"What the...?" He trailed off, and the others were about to ask what he had noticed when a sudden explosion caught their attention.

At first, they thought it had been from the battle between the beasts, but they soon realized that wasn't the case.

The ground shattered as Osho shot forth like a rocket, his body experiencing almost no drag as he made the air in front of him not just lessen to reduce resistance, but actively increase his speed.

As such, the speed he achieved was well over supersonic.

Ahmed was barely able to get his arms up when Osho reached him and let out a devastating drop kick.

Neutron Style: Collapse.

A powerful force traveled through Ahmed's body as blood spurted from his mouth despite his best efforts to keep it in.

He'd block almost perfectly, and yet, the force still managed to damage his internal organs, almost completely bypassing any external defenses he had.

Osho wasn't done, though.

He kicked off from his arms and did a flip before landing, his swords by his side.

'Quasar Style: III Form...'

All of a sudden, his body 'shifted', and then he was gone.

Ahmed's eyes widened, and he held an arm up by the side of his face. As soon as he did, warm blood sprayed as Osho appeared behind Ahmed, two long gashes through his armor.

'Redshift.'

"RAAH!" Ahmed roared as golden energy erupted from his body, ripping apart the ground and engulfing everything in the vicinity for almost a mile in each direction.

Osho immediately retreated, easily escaping the range of the blast before he was caught in it.

When the blast faded, a vast area of destroyed earth could be seen. The ground was cracked and melted, and in the center, Ahmed could be seen standing while glaring at Osho.

Mana started to condense around him as he stretched forth his hand, and an attack not too different from the orbs his beast had been unleashing was created.

However, as soon as he fired it, Osho spoke to Gale through their bond. For origΔ±nal chapters go to π—»π—Όπ˜ƒπ—²π—ΉΒ·π‘“π‘–π‘Ÿπ‘’Β·π—‡π—²π˜

'Switch.'

Suddenly, Gale was in front of the attack. He used his wings and effortlessly swatted it aside.

It struck the base of one of the Azure Sequoias and detonated with such force that the trunk was almost completely blown through.

As though wailing, the large tree started to fall with a series of thunderous cracks. However, this didn't catch the attention of the onlookers as much as what happened next.

To everyone's shock, Gale blasted Osho towards the approaching golden lion with a gust of wind.

"What's he doing?!" Irene exclaimed with shock and obvious fear.

It was one thing to fight another human who was ranks above you, but against a beast? That was practically suicide! Osho had only ever fought against a beast at the same rank as him, and even then, it was mid-difficulty.

But against one two ranks above him?

Osho gladly used the speed from the boost Gale gave him as he ran across the surface of the falling tree towards the large golden lion that was burning with golden energy.

He instantly noticed the difference in heat as his barrier flickered dangerously, but he didn't care as he ran straight for the lion.

The beast looked a bit worse for wear. Numerous cuts lined umits body, with lots of its hair missing from where Gale had smashed into it like the tiny murder bird he was.

That said, its Vitality was still a lot, so realistically, there was no way it was weakened enough for Osho to deal substantial damage to it.

Right?

As soon as the lion got close, it roared as it started swinging its claws at him.

Osho's eyes were wide as he watched the pion carefully. The attacks were fast, almost faster than his current state. However.

'Left, over head, bite, body slam, tail, energy blast...' He spoke to himself as he accurately predicted and dodged the onslaught of attacks from the lion.

Each one was devastating, as every swing from it would unleash a wave of claw-shaped golden energy that would rend the ground for miles, and every bite could easily crush whatever the nanites of his armor were made of.

If taking a single hit from Ahmed would seriously injure him, taking a direct hit from this lion would kill him, no doubt about that.

And yet.

'He's doing it.' Ellie thought with mixed emotions as she watched him avoid attack after attack from the small sun that was the lion.

The way he calmly evaded each attack while carefully looking for ways to counter was awe-inspiring... and we'll as kinda hot.

'But what is he trying to do?' She frowned. With her Mana sense, she could tell that his mana barrier was failing rapidly, as soon as it did, he'd be forced to endure the searing heat being released by the lion with his bare body, which was something she doubted he wanted.

'So what... wait?' She blinked as she realized something.

While Ahmed was 'fighting' Gale, it didn't truly seem that way.

Gale was flying in a large circle, and Ahmed would try to use his magic to shoot the bird down, but Gale would simply deflect the attacks before releasing ranged magic of his own. However, it looked half-hearted at best, which was strange.

She then noticed that Osho was gradually approaching the center of the circle Gale was flying in, and just as she started wondering what they were planning, it happened.

All of a sudden, Gale's figure blurred, and Ellie completely lost sight of him. However, she gasped as he Mana sense barely picked up something moving at absurd speeds.

Moreover, he was getting faster, and as he moved, she noticed something else.

Her hair fluttered as the surrounding wind started to pickup, and when she stared up, she shuddered.

A massive tornado was forming.
