Surprise Marriage to a Billionaire

Chapter 380: A Surprise Visit

"You shouldn’t visit me so often like this, Sanya," Crissa said worriedly, her tone filled with apprehension.

Sanya ignored her mother’s concerns and focused on arranging the lunchboxes she had brought. "I cooked all your favorites," she said with a warm smile. "I put the other dishes in the fridge. You can ask the private nurse to reheat them for you later."

Crissa’s expression remained tense. "Sanya, this is dangerous. If he finds out-"

"Stop worrying, Mom," Sanya interrupted gently, her smile unwavering. It felt incredible to finally have someone she could call "Mom" without hesitation. "Your son-in-law is a capable man, and he knows all about that man."

Sanya gave her mother a reassuring smile as she continued, "I have bodyguards nearby, keeping an eye on everything. Plus, this hospital is under strict protection. He won’t be able to trace you here. The last hospital your late husband brought you to is his dead-end. He won’t find anything about you after that."

Crissa’s worry didn’t fade, but she seemed to relax a little.

"Oh, right," Sanya suddenly said, her voice trailing off as if she had just remembered something important.

"Once you’re discharged, you’ll be staying in one of the apartments my husband owns," Sanya said with a reassuring smile. "Everything you’ll need is there. The building is connected to a mall, so you’ll have easy access to anything you might want. William and I will visit you from time to time, and you can even spend some vacations with us at the Lancaster Mansion."

Sanya’s tone was casual, but her intentions were deeply thoughtful. In truth, her father-in-law, Rock, had suggested bringing Crissa directly to the Lancaster Mansion. There was plenty of space, and he thought it would be easier to have her close to the family. However, Sanya gently declined. She knew her mother might feel overwhelmed by the grandeur and the sudden change.

Her mother needed her peace, a chance to adjust slowly and at her own pace, before meeting the entire Lancaster family.

"This is too much already, Sanya," Crissa murmured, her voice breaking. Tears welled up in her eyes as she began to sob quietly. "I don’t deserve this... I’m not a good mother, and you have no obligation to me. I don’t want to become a burden to you."
