Chapter 331: Mark My Words
Gathering herself, Rain forced a warm smile and took a step closer. Slowly, she sat on the edge of his bed, keeping her movements relaxed.
"Our marriage happened so suddenly," she said softly, tilting her head playfully and pouting slightly, "and you promised me we’d have a proper wedding ceremony later."
Alexander raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical but curious.

His frown lingered, but there was a flicker of consideration in his eyes. "Is that so?"
Rain nodded firmly. "Yes. No need to stress over it right now. Take your time, everything might come back to you eventually," she said, her voice steady and reassuring despite the turmoil in her heart.
Alexander regarded her for a long moment before responding. "I’ll see about that. Dr. Lambert mentioned there’s a chance some of my memories might not return," he admitted, his tone uncertain, yet laced with resignation.
Rain hesitated for a moment longer, her chest tightening at the growing emotional distance between them. Then, with a trembling smile, she reached out and gently cupped his cheek. "I miss you so much," she murmured, her voice cracking under the weight of her emotions.
Without warning, she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a tight hug. "Thank you for waking up," she whispered against his chest, her sobs muffled. She felt his body stiffen momentarily, but relief flooded her when his hand cautiously stroked her back.
