Chapter 304: Bloody
At the secluded villa, where Michael had managed to have Rain transported without any problems, chaos unfolded. His men were in a panic as Michael raged, killing anyone who had made the slightest mistake or created a setback in his plans.
"I told you to make sure she’s in good shape!" he screamed, his voice full of fury. Without hesitation, he pulled the trigger, ending one of his men’s life right there inside the truck.
Eight hours had passed, and Rain was still unconscious.
"Please, Sir! Don’t kill me! I beg you! I followed the instructions to hit the car! I swear, I didn’t hit it that hard, and I don’t know why she’s still unconscious!" the man pleaded, falling to his knees. But Michael, in a foul mood, showed no mercy and shot him dead.
"Clean up this mess!" he barked at the remaining men before storming inside the villa to check on Rain.
He paced anxiously, his fingers clenched tightly as he bit down on them in frustration. "Why isn’t she waking up yet?!" he shouted, his voice thick with panic as he turned toward the medical team he’d stationed to monitor Rain.
The doctor, maintaining a calm demeanor despite Michael’s growing agitation, responded, "Her vital signs are all normal. We have to wait. It’s possible she’s in a short-term coma after the trauma from the accident."
Michael’s heart sank. This wasn’t what he envisioned. Everything had gone according to plan, and by now, he should be enjoying himself, but she was still unconscious! Where would be the fun in that? He wanted her to be awake before doing everything he had been planning for years with her!
This wasn’t part of the plan. The goal had been simple: hit Rain’s car, cause a minor accident to get her to Tim’s hospital quickly, and perform the swap without leaving any evidence, without causing her harm. Everything was supposed to go smoothly. But now, with her still unconscious, things were spiraling out of control.
