Chapter 252: Safe With You
"Will he be alright?" Rain asked softly as she and Alexander sat in the car, heading to the ancestral mansion. The doctor had reassured them that William was stable and would wake up soon. He had passed out from emotional shock and a sudden drop in blood pressure after hearing the devastating news.
Alexander sighed, the tension clear in his eyes. "No, he’s not alright. When he wakes up, he’ll be shattered. I’m just relieved Sanya is there with him." He reached for Rain, pulling her close in the confined space. "Just like you were there for me when I first heard the news. Thank you for that... for staying."
He pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead before resting his face against the crook of her neck. His voice trembled as he spoke. "I don’t know if I can stay with William and watch him break down. I just..."
Rain felt the dampness of his tears against her skin and ran her fingers soothingly through his hair. "We’ll get through this together," she whispered. "Everything will be alright..."
Her heart ached for both Alexander and William, but they all had to stay strong and show Father Rock that he didn’t need to worry about them.

Sanya sat at William’s bedside, watching intently as he stirred and slowly opened his eyes. "How are you feeling?" she asked softly.
William’s eyes met hers, filled with confusion and a glimmer of hope. "I was just dreaming, wasn’t I? Alexander and Rain weren’t really here, right?" His voice was fragile, laced with denial, as if pleading for her to confirm that none of it had been real.
Sanya took a deep breath, her heart aching as she reached out and gently held his hand. "No, William," she said softly, "Alexander and Rain were here, but they left once the doctor confirmed you were stable. You passed out from the shock of the news about your father."
