Rain made sure she looked her best before stepping out of her private room, smoothing her outfit and taking a deep breath. As she walked into the hallway, she spotted Alexander waiting for her outside. She offered a timid smile to Jane, who gave her a nod and a knowing, teasing grin. "I’ll be heading out a bit early," she murmured, feeling a flutter of excitement. Jane’s smile widened, and Rain felt herself flush slightly before making her way toward the elevator.
As she walked, she could sense people noticing her, their whispers floating around her.
"Is she the one? The tycoon’s wife?"
